The Legislative Branch
The legislative branch of United States government is made up of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. Together they make up the the lawmaking body of our government. Their duties are laid out in Article 1 of the United States Constitution. With it being in Article 1, many will say that the Founding Fathers wanted the legislative body to be strongest branch. This is supported by the many powers given to it. As you work through the material, keep this in mind!
